Waitress Casting Call

Instructions -- Please read carefully before submitting:

• TRIGGER WARNING: If you have issues with working in low lighting, noisy surroundings, around large crowds in small areas, working with transgender actors, wearing gore/prosthetics, jump scares, or fire, please consider a role in another project. 

• For the roles listed below, we are only interested in internationally recognized A-List Actors.

• Find the role you're interested in.

• In an email: Attach a recent headshot (.jpg, .png, or .pdf) and current acting resume (.pdf only). In the subject line put "WAITRESS" and the name of the character you're interested in (ex: WAITRESS--Judith Klein). In the body of the email, state that you've read the above TRIGGER WARNING, have no issues with what's listed, and would like to move forward in the casting process. Make sure all your contact details are included.

Dr. Joan O’Dea (30s-60s, Caucasian TRANS female): Tall, physically powerful, and smart, Dr. Joan O’Dea is punctual and by-the-book. She’s unhappy with her government job but faithful to her employer nonetheless. Work colleague to Dr. Barb Duane. Physical role. Must be comfortable running short distances, crawling, and wearing prosthetics. Lead.

Dr. Barb Duane (30s-60s, Black female): Average height and smart, Dr. Barb Duane is not punctual and willing to take short cuts. She’s also unhappy with her government job and actively looking for a position in the better paying private sector. Work colleague to Dr. Joan O’Dea. Physical role. Lead.

Kymbourleigh Albert (18-20s, Caucasian female): Average height, VERY pretty girl-next-door type, wholesome-looking, with a very sweet smile. A college student with an unfaithful boyfriend, she wants to give him the benefit of the doubt even though her colleagues at work drop hints about his infidelity. She’s one of three waitresses working third shift at a 24-hr diner and the main protagonist. When events at the diner go sideways, there’s a very strong survivor streak that comes through with a vengeance. Physical role. Lead.

Yeltzin Bourne (30s-50s, male): Tall—6+ feet—and very physically imposing with lots of tattoos, he’s the rookie security agent for the alternative rock band INFESTED STRATA. Yeltzin has no lines and is the main antagonist. Physical role. Must be comfortable running short distances and wearing prosthetics. Reference actor Dave Bautista. Lead.

Judith Klein (20s-30s, female): Average height and pretty, she’s a very crass and direct no-nonsense kind of person. She’s one of three waitresses working third shift at a 24-hr diner. Physical role. Must be comfortable running short distances and wearing prosthetics. Supporting.

Ernie Nichols (30s-50s, Caucasian male): Average height, he and three friends discuss the latest TikTok trends and strategize over how to achieve viral fame over a late night meal at the diner. Physical role. Must be comfortable running short distances and wearing prosthetics. Supporting.

Heather Finneran (40s-60s, female): Average height, she’s the drummer of the alternative rock band INFESTED STRATA, which peaked 30 years ago. She is a bad ass with an incredibly accurate, powerful pitching arm, which is useful when things start to fall apart. Physical role. Must be comfortable running short distances. Supporting.

Bart Klome (40s-60s, Caucasian male): Average height, he’s angry and short-tempered. When he realizes his pickup order from the diner isn't ready yet he starts ranting and raving (think angry Bill Burr) until his order is brought to him. Looking for Improv Comedian who can freestyle the situation; will have lots of creative freedom. Supporting/1-day onset.
