The "Big 3" genres of film currently are Adventure, Action and Drama. Collectively they make up roughly 63% of the movies released annually and have generated over $159 Billion in revenue since 1995 domestically alone (United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Guam). And these dollars do not include episodics/series on television or streaming services or international revenue!

Needless to say, it is a very competitive landscape and a real battle to get views. If we were to swim in this Ocean of Motion Pictures, we'd be a very small fish.

It's for this reason that the Michigan Film Network plans to target the "Not-So-Big 3" genres of Comedy, Horror and Thriller. Here, if we were to swim in this Pond of Motion Pictures, we'd be a very large fish.
